FAQ

What is El Rancho San Benito and where is it located?

El Rancho San Benito is a 4,500-acre site adjacent to Highway 25 at the northern edge of San Benito County. A portion of ERSB has also been called Rancho Gavilan and was part of the O'Connell Ranch until the late 1970s.

What is the future plan for this site?

DMB is just beginning the initial community planning process, which will lead to a plan for this site. It's likely that a community plan will include a range of housing and commercial uses that will help meet the housing and economic needs of San Benito County.

When will DMB submit a plan?

We will submit a plan when we have completed our community outreach. We work with the people of the community to learn about their unique needs to plan a project that meets their requirements. We will conduct an extensive public planning process in San Benito County over the coming months to secure feedback and address any potential concerns. Our goal is to create a plan that provides solutions to current issues faced by the county. We promise to deliver on this goal with the active assistance of San Benito County residents.

How will this plan improve the quality of life in San Benito County?

Final plans for this community will likely bring new jobs, a range of housing options, new parks, new schools, transportation improvements and other contributions. With help from interested community residents and leaders, we will create a plan that clearly provides these and other important benefits.

How can I participate in the public planning process?

In the coming months, there will be numerous meetings and conversations taking place before a plan is created. Actively share your opinions and suggestions with us! Send an E-mail to info@elranchosanbenito.com or call us at 831-635-5910.
