During the past several years, DMB has met with hundreds of San Benito County residents to determine the community’s priorities and needs as we plan for El Rancho San Benito. Two local needs that are consistently raised are the county’s desire for improved infrastructure and economic revitalization.
Our final plans will address these and many other priorities. This is why we are asking the business community to join us in creating a partnership to leverage our unique site to benefit local businesses and the San Benito County economy.
With two entry points to San Benito County planned within this new community - one along Highway 25 just seven miles from downtown Hollister and the other along Highway 101 by Betabel Road - these key locations could help create “welcoming gateways” into the County. El Rancho San Benito could also be used as an “economic gateway” to attract businesses and quality jobs into San Benito County.
DMB has begun to work with several local business leaders on plans to make the most of this opportunity. Our planning group is called the “Gateway Partnership.” As we begin developing this effort, we would appreciate hearing your thoughts.
